Faculty of Tourism

Mission

- To help the principal implement training plans or teaching plans for the courses assigned.
- To help the principal manage the quality of teaching and learning, fostering activities, build, and operate the faculties and specific groups.
- To help the principal manage, exploit and make efficient use of facilities, teaching aids, and practice rooms.
- To co-operate with other departments / faculties in educating students.
- To check and evaluate the training results of the faculty.
- To organize the training, teaching, learning process and other educational activities in accordance with the programs and the school's plans.
- To organize designing programs and teaching materials that are suitable for the demand, the training objectives of the society and guarantee the school’s policy of quality.
- To recruit well-qualified and appropriate teachers.
- To be in charge of instructors, teachers, students and employees of the faculty and students.
- To organize final tests and implement final tests and graduation exams based on the approved plan, manage and keep all the tests.
- To assign teachers to the responsibility of the class, to coordinate the management of students in the faculty, to consult and help interns and to participate in extracurricular activities
- To manage all the teaching and learning activities of the teachers and students, manage maintenance, maintain facilities, teaching aids; propose additional planning and maintenance of teaching facilities
- To organize scientific seminars, evaluate, classify teaching experience, organize class observation, evaluate teaching quality of teachers.
- To preserve, track and  use the school’s asset effectively.

 Training methods and training time

- College
- Trainees: those with high school diploma or its equivalent examination and matriculation into the college sector of Vietnamese studies, tour guide, hotel management, tourism and travel management
- Duration: 03 years.
- Mode of study: full-time.
- Intermediate professionals.
- Trainees: those with high school diploma or its equivalent examination and matriculation into the 2-year-college sector of Vietnamese studies, tour guide, hotel management, tourism and travel management.
- Duration: 02 years.
- Mode of study: full-time.
- College to university transition program
- Trainees: those with a college bachelor's degree in Vietnamese studies – tour  guides, hotel management, travel management tested and admitted to inter-college to university will study Vietnamese studies - tour guides, hotel management, tourism management  at the Saigon College of Arts Culture and Tourism cooperated with Van Hien University and Saigon University.
- Duration: 1.5 years.
- Method of training: full-time.
- Intermediate professionals to college transition program. - Trainees: those who holds a 2-year college degree majored in Vietnamese studies- tour  guides, hotel management, travel management tested and admitted to inter-middle to College in Vietnamese studies – tour guides, hotel management, tourism management at the Saigon College of Arts and Culture and Tourism.
- Duration: 2.5 years.
